Which is why I like groups like Tinariwen who <br>are a breath of fresh air in a very stale genre-ized room. Mash ups <br>particularly of new with old or of songs that cross genre boundaries and <br>would not normally be associated one with the other challenge our <br>perceptions of the music that we are familiar with and can make us <br>listen to it is a different way .... sometimes it works and sometimes it <br>doesnt and like all art visual or audidle it comes down to ..
